The ACU at the Catholic Gators
Recently, the team from the Miami Chapter traveled to Gainesville, Florida for the monthly meeting with the men's group of the Catholic Gators ministry at the University of Florida. On January 27, 2025, the team of Gerry Portela, Jay Velasco, and Jerry Fernandez met with approximately 25 men for the monthly instruction on Ignatian Spirituality. Andres Manrara, also part of the team, was out of the country at the time. The team was pleased to have been joined by Fr. Blair Gaynes, pastor of St. Augustine Catholic Church and responsible for the Catholic Gators ministry. Fr. Blair is a staunch supporter of the ACU and its work with the men of the Catholic Gators. The next monthly meeting at the University is scheduled for Monday, February 24, 2025.
