Esto Vir Group: Miami Chapter

The Esto Vir Group at the Miami Chapter had its first meeting of the 2024-2025 academic year this past Tuesday, September 3, 2024. The Group met at the ACU House and followed its usual structure of prayer, song, activity, presentation, and dinner. The first presentation was led by Danny Mariscal, a senior and president of the Group this year. Danny has been participating in the Group since the second semester of his eighth grade year. He follows in the footsteps of his brother, Javier Mariscal, who was also in leadership in the group. Javier is currently in his second year of medical school at the University of Florida. Danny led a discussion on the Gospel of John 17:14-16, from which we get the maxim "we are in the world, but not of the world." The Group discussed a variety of ways in which they can lead authentic Catholic lives as teens in the world.
