Congregant Peter Lagonowicz and His Career Journey with Shutts & Bowen
Peter is a highly experienced attorney at Shutts & Bowen, where he co-chairs the tax and international law practice group, leads the Latin America practice group, and oversees the pension committee. He joined the firm in 2008 after working at an international law boutique, became a non-equity partner in 2013, and an equity partner in 2015. His expertise includes advising high-net-worth clients and business entities on international tax, estate planning, and various financial transactions. Peter also provides guidance on federal tax obligations and compliance for both US and foreign financial institutions. He became a congregant of the Agrupación Católica Universitaria in Miami on December 4, 2010. Peter holds an LL.M. in Taxation from the University of Miami, a J.D. from Florida State University, and a B.A. in Philosophy from Boston College.
