Congregante Bishop Emilio Biosca Meets Pope Leo XIV
Congregante Bishop Emilio E. Biosca Agüero, O.F.M. Cap., Bishop of Venice in Florida, recently traveled to Rome for the annual formation course for new bishops from around the world. On September 10, Bishop Biosca had the opportunity to meet Pope Leo XIV at the Vatican. Following his time in Rome, he traveled to Assisi for a fraternal gathering with Capuchin bishops from around the world.
For the Agrupación Católica Universitaria, it is a special joy to see a fellow Congregante carrying the spirit of the ACU into his ministry as a successor of the Apostles. Bishop Biosca’s episcopal coat of arms reflects many themes familiar to the spirituality of the Agrupación: love of Christ, devotion to Mary and St. Joseph, humility, sacrifice, and a life of apostolic service. His motto, “Ite ad Joseph” (“Go to Joseph”), comes from Genesis 41:55.
