ACU Prison Ministry Recognized by Miami-Dade County

The ACU/Our Lady of Guadalupe Prison Ministry team recently attended a special appreciation breakfast hosted by Miami-Dade County in recognition of the clergy and volunteers who dedicate their time to serving individuals in local correctional facilities. Congregante Ramón Ferrer joined Fr. Alex and fellow volunteers at the event, alongside the Director of the Miami-Dade Corrections and Rehabilitation Department and the chaplain of the facility where the team regularly serves.

Through this ministry, ACU members and volunteers visit incarcerated individuals, offering spiritual guidance, prayer, and opportunities to deepen their relationship with Christ and the Catholic Church. Their work provides an important source of religious support for those within the correctional system. The breakfast brought together clergy, volunteers, and county officials to recognize their continued dedication and service. The ACU is grateful to Ramón Ferrer, Fr. Alex, and the entire prison ministry team for their ongoing commitment to this apostolate and their representation of the ACU within the Miami-Dade community.
