We hosted Congregante, Fr. Rafael Garcia, S.J., Pastor of Sacred Heart Paris in El Paso, Texas. Fr. Garcia joined us virtually via Zoom to discuss his work with immigrants and how the 4 core principles of the Social Doctrine of the Catholic Church inform his work with immigrants. Congregante, Emilio Falero will be leading discussions on some excerpts from the Ratzinger Report over the next few weeks. In this video, he introduces us to what we can expect.

Fr. Dave Ruchinski, the Pastor at St. Augustine Parish in Gainesville, speaks to us about what struggles and obstacles he might face as a leader in the Catholic Gators Ministry. He also speaks to us about the rekindled relationship between the University of Florida.

Fr. Cristian Peralta gives us a deep introduction to the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius of Loyola.

This past weekend, the Miami Chapter hosted an evening of marriage reflection for married and engaged couples. Mass was celebrated by one of the ACU’s former directors, Fr. Willie Arias, SJ, and we were blessed to have over 30 couples participate!

The night began with Adoration and continued with Mass, which was followed by a presentation and dinner.

Fr. Christian gives us a deep dive on the history of the art surrounding the Epiphany, from the history of the word Magi to the way that the evolution of the art of the Epiphany.

A few Agrupados visited the University of Florida and met with Fr. Dave Ruchinski, the Pastor at the Catholic Student Center at the University of Florida and friend of the ACU. Some of the Agrupados, who are Gator Alums, met with us on Wednesday to recap what happened during their visit, which led to a discussion on how we can help the Catholic Gators.

Our Lord is so generous! He gives us many gifts and it is our responsibility to do great things with them. It is a privilege to receive these things from our God, let us live with great courage to accomplish great deeds.

The ACU Atlanta has been working to refurbish the Stations of the Cross at the Ignatius House Jesuit Retreat House. They finished the work today.

The Miami Chapter will be hosting their weekly Guardia Sabatina this Saturday, November 19th. Doors open at 10:00 AM and Mass will begin at 10:30. After Mass there will be a presentation and lunch.
