University of Miami Robotics Team Awarded Second Place in a National Competition

A University of Miami team, led by Congregant Neyton Baltodano, was awarded second place for their submittal to a recent NASA national robotic competition.  Neyton is the new President of the ACU University of Miami student group.  He is a senior majoring in aerospace engineering.  His ACU mentor is Jose Rionda, a retired engineer currently living in Flemington, New Jersey.

(Photo caption) Students from the University of Miami build a robotic miner to compete in this year’s Lunabotics competition. More than 40 teams from around the U.S. participated in the competition, designing and building remote-controlled robots under constraints similar to those the agency will face as it returns to the lunar surface through Artemis.
