The ACU @ Catholic Gators
The team from the Miami Chapter traveled to Gainesville, Florida, this past Monday, September 29th, for the first meeting with the men's group of the Catholic Gators ministry at the University of Florida. Andres Manrara, Gerry Portela, Jay Velasco, and Gerry Fernandez were joined by Congregante Ernie Leon. They met with approximately 30 men for an instruction on the principle and foundation of Ignatian Spirituality. The following morning, the group hosted some of the students for breakfast. The apostolate has been granted permission by Fr. Blair Gaynes, the pastor, to proceed with establishing an official aspirantado and increasing the frequency of meetings to twice a month.

El equipo del Capítulo de Miami viajó a Gainesville, Florida, el pasado lunes 29 de septiembre para la primera reunión con el grupo de hombres del ministerio de los Gators Católicos de la Universidad de Florida. Andrés Manrara, Gerry Portela, Jay Velasco y Gerry Fernández estuvieron acompañados por el congregante Ernie León. Se reunieron con aproximadamente 30 hombres para recibir instrucción sobre los principios y fundamentos de la espiritualidad ignaciana. A la mañana siguiente, el grupo recibió a algunos estudiantes para desayunar. El apostolado ha recibido permiso del P. Blair Gaynes, párroco, para proceder con el establecimiento de un aspirantado oficial y aumentar la frecuencia de las reuniones a dos veces al mes.
