The ACU Atlanta Pig Roast: A Feast of Camaraderie and Gratitude

The ACU Atlanta Pig Roast was a resounding success, with attendees enjoying a fantastic day filled with great food and camaraderie. The event boasted several highlights, and here's a recap:

First and foremost, the weather couldn't have been better, providing the perfect backdrop for the festivities. The event took place in an excellent facility, and heartfelt gratitude was extended to José and Alina Battle for generously hosting the gathering once again.

The ambiance of the event, along with the Mass conducted by Father Christian, added to the overall positive experience that attendees have come to expect from this annual gathering.

The turnout was impressive, with an estimated 60 individuals in attendance. Notably, about a dozen of them hailed from Miami, including the Antón, Cacicedo, and Manrara couples. Reemberto Rodriguez, all the way from Washington, made a special effort to join in the festivities. Additionally, there were approximately 10 young men, mainly from Miami, adding youthful energy to the event.

Technology played its part as well, as Ramiro and his TAMU ACU group briefly joined the gathering via Zoom to share in the joy of the pig roast.

The food and drinks were abundant, thanks to the dedication of numerous volunteers. A variety of delicious dishes were served, including rice, beans, salad, and mouthwatering desserts. The star of the show, the lechón, was exceptional, and special thanks were given to Chelo for the mojo, Gorka for the Caja China, and Lorenzo and the young individuals who expertly roasted the pig. Attendees had plenty to drink, with a generous supply of water, sodas, and beer available.

The success of the event was also attributed to the hardworking volunteers who tirelessly prepared, set up, organized, and later cleaned up the venue. Special recognition was given to Alina, Annette, Clarita, Chelo, Cristina, and others who lent their support in the kitchen and during the serving set-up.

Finally, the clean-up crew was acknowledged for their efforts in ensuring the venue was left in pristine condition.

In conclusion, a heartfelt "MANY THANKS TO EVERYONE!" was expressed for making the ACU Atlanta Pig Roast a memorable and enjoyable gathering, demonstrating the power of community and collaboration in creating cherished moments.
