The Origins of the Vatican and the Discovery of the Bones of St. Peter

Jose Juncadella recently spoke to the ACU University of Miami student group about the discovery of the bones of St. Peter and the origins of the Vatican.

The presentation focused on the Primacy of Peter and the Papacy as one of the fundamental tenants of our Catholic faith: the Bishop of Rome is the head of the Church as the successor of Peter.

The talk covered the details of the first secret excavations authorized in 1939 by Pope Pius XII.  It concluded with the twists and turns of successive discoveries, and the affirmation by the Vatican that in fact the bones of St. Peter had been located.
