Miami Chapter Special Presentation: Jubilee 2025

The Miami Chapter is pleased to welcome Sister Ondina Cortes, rmi, PhD, for a presentation on the Jubilee year. Sister Cortes is the Formation Director for the Southeastern Pastoral Institute (SEPI) in Miami-Dade County. Sister Cortes is part of the Claretian Missionary Sisters. She first met the Sisters as a teenager in Florida and admired the manner in which they lived their vocation with joy and freedom. Sister Ondina professed vows in 1981. She would later serve as Provincial Superior in the Virgen de Guadalupe province, which includes the USA, Mexico, Honduras, Salvador, Cuba, and Dominican Republic. The Claretians were founded by St. Antonio María Claret and María Antonia Paris in Cuba in 1855. They carry the initials RMI for Religious of Mary Immaculate.

SEPI is the educational branch of the Regional Office of the Southeastern U.S. Bishops For Hispanic Ministry, which was created in 1978 to assist the dioceses of the Southeastern U.S. in its pastoral service to Hispanic Catholics. SEPI provides numerous formation programs, evangelization and leadership development for Hispanic lay ministers and youth.
