The ACU @ FIU
This past Monday, February 23, 2026, the FIU aspirantado met at the Miami chapter campus for its regular formation meeting led by Congregant William Cueto. The group continued its review of Unshakeable, a book by Fr. Michael Schmitz that discusses the cultivation of virtue in our modern world. The group is also utilizing the catechism to compliment the teachings of the book.
And last week, for Ash Wednesday, aspirant Alejandro Madrigal, of the FIU aspirantado, worked closely with Fr. Luis Pavon, the Chaplain for the Catholic at FIU campus ministry, to host the Ash Wednesday Mass at the Sigma Phi Epsilon Learning Community at FIU marking the first time a Catholic Mass was held at that facility. Alejandro Madrigal is pictured distributing ashes to one of the students that attended the Mass. The facility was filled to capacity for the Mass. El pasado lunes 23 de febrero de 2026, el aspirante de FIU se reunió en el campus de Miami para su reunión regular de formación, dirigida por el congregante William Cueto. El grupo continuó revisando "Unshakeable", un libro del P. Michael Schmitz que aborda el cultivo de la virtud en nuestro mundo moderno. El grupo también está utilizando el catecismo para complementar las enseñanzas del libro.
La semana pasada, para el Miércoles de Ceniza, el aspirante Alejandro Madrigal, del aspirante de FIU, colaboró estrechamente con el P. Luis Pavón, capellán de la pastoral católica del campus de FIU, para celebrar la Misa del Miércoles de Ceniza en la Comunidad de Aprendizaje Sigma Phi Epsilon de FIU, lo que marcó la primera vez que se celebró una misa católica en esas instalaciones. Alejandro Madrigal aparece en la foto distribuyendo cenizas a uno de los estudiantes que asistieron a la misa. El recinto se llenó por completo para la misa.
