The ACU @ FIU

Yesterday evening, the ACU student group at FIU attended the basketball game between the Miami Heat and the Sacramento Kings at the Kaseya Center in downtown Miami. This was a great opportunity for the student group to recruit potential FIU students into the formation group. The ACU is working closely with Fr. Luis Pavon at St. Agatha Catholic Church and the Catholic @ FIU ministry. Thomas Benson, the FOCUS missionary assigned to St. Agatha, brought a group of 9 FIU students to the game. The students were joined by Willie Cueto, Jay Velasco, and Erik Vieira. It was a great opportunity to establish shared experiences that we hope will continue to grow the ACU @ FIU.
