UF Student Group Leaders Foster Spiritual Growth in Gainesville with Catholic Gators
The team leading the UF student group was in Gainesville yesterday, Monday, October 30th, for the monthly meeting with the young men of Catholic Gators. Andres Manrara, Jay Velasco, Gerry Portela, and Gerry Fernandez traveled together to lead the meeting. Gerry Portela gave a presentation to the entire group on Ignatian Spirituality, and then the discussion was continued in smaller groups. Fr. Blair, pastor at St. Augustine, continues to support the effort, as does Congregante David Pernia, who is working at UF with FOCUS. A couple of the students from the group have registered to attend the Spiritual Exercises in November in Miami.
