The ACU @ Catholic Gators
The team from the Miami Chapter traveled to Gainesville, Florida, this past Monday, October 17th, for the second meeting with the men's group of the Catholic Gators ministry at the University of Florida through St. Augustine Catholic Church and Student Center. Gerry Portela, Jay Velasco, and Gerry Fernandez were present for the meeting. There was another great turnout as 30 students attended the event for an instruction on Our Lady and her role in salvation history, including the dogmas applicable to her. Also in attendance was Fr. Blair Gaynes, the pastor at St. Augustine, who enthusiastically continues to support the apostolate. Seth Caraecle, the Campus Minister for the University of Florida, was also in attendance and is another supporter of the apostolate. The team is preparing a set of Spiritual Exercises for the students of Catholic Gators next semester.

El equipo del Capítulo de Miami viajó a Gainesville, Florida, el pasado lunes 17 de octubre para la segunda reunión con el grupo masculino del ministerio de los Católicos Gators en la Universidad de Florida, a través de la Iglesia Católica de San Agustín y el Centro Estudiantil. Gerry Portela, Jay Velasco y Gerry Fernández estuvieron presentes. Treinta estudiantes asistieron al evento para recibir una instrucción sobre Nuestra Señora y su papel en la historia de la salvación, incluyendo los dogmas que le son aplicables. También estuvo presente el Padre Blair Gaynes, párroco de San Agustín, quien continúa apoyando con entusiasmo el apostolado. Seth Caraecle, Ministro del Campus de la Universidad de Florida, también estuvo presente y es otro de los promotores del apostolado. El equipo está preparando una serie de Ejercicios Espirituales para los estudiantes de los Católicos Gators el próximo semestre.
