Special Visit to ACU Washington DC
El pasado jueves y viernes, nuestro director, el padre Jorge Luis Rojas, S.J., acompañado por nuestro presidente nacional, el Dr. Manny Anton, realizaron una visita especial a la Agrupación de DC.
El jueves por la noche tuvieron una reunión de planificación con miembros de la ACU Washington para conversar sobre la posible nueva sede de la ACU en Washington: una casa con capilla y dormitorios. Durante la reunión pudieron responder algunas preguntas sobre el proyecto de la casa y dialogar acerca del futuro crecimiento del grupo y del aspirantado.
El viernes también tuvieron la oportunidad de visitar a Lilian “Yiyi” Casas Madan, viuda del congregante Rafael F. Madan, D.D.S. Lilian tiene 92 años y se mantiene llena de vida, disfrutando de la compañía de sus hijos y nietos. Yiyi y Rafi estuvieron casados durante 60 años y tuvieron 10 hijos. Rafi falleció el 31 de octubre de 2012. Ambos fueron líderes y anfitriones de la ACU DC a lo largo de toda su historia. También los acompañó Ramón, el séptimo de los hijos de los Madan.
Más tarde, el viernes, realizaron una visita a la casa propuesta como nueva sede de Washington junto a Alex Navarro, donde sería posible trasladar la sede de DC. En la visita estuvieron acompañados por agrupados de DC y residentes aspirantes de la casa actual.

Last Thursday and Friday, our director, Father Jorge Luis Rojas, S.J., accompanied by our national president, Dr. Manny Anton, made a special visit to the DC Group.
On Thursday evening, they held a planning meeting with members of ACU Washington to discuss the possible new ACU headquarters in Washington: a house with a chapel and dormitories. During the meeting, they were able to answer several questions about the house project and discuss the future growth of the group and the aspirancy program.
On Friday, they also had the opportunity to visit Lilian “Yiyi” Casas Madan, widow of congregant Rafael F. Madan, D.D.S. Lilian is 92 years old and remains full of life, enjoying the company of her children and grandchildren. Yiyi and Rafi were married for 60 years and had 10 children. Rafi passed away on October 31, 2012. Together, they were leaders and hosts of ACU DC throughout its entire history. They were also accompanied by Ramón, the seventh of the Madan children.
Later on Friday, they visited the proposed house for the new Washington headquarters together with Alex Navarro, where it would be possible to relocate the DC headquarters. They were accompanied by members of the DC group and aspirant residents of the current house.
