Esto Vir Group: Miami Chapter
This past Friday night, April 12, 2024, members of the Esto Vir Group attended a Miami Heat basketball game at the Kaseya Center in Miami. The Heat played and won against the Toronto Raptors. The Group was accompanied by Congregante Erik Vieira, and Erik Cofiño. Mr. Cofiño teaches junior and senior theology at Belen Jesuit Preparatory School. This was the second Miami Heat outing this academic year for the Esto Vir Group. Following the game, the members of the group were able to try their skill on the Miami Heat court with a free throw shot! Only three members of the Group made the shot. We were excited to have been joined by Waldo Toyos, an alumnus of the Group and 2018 Belen Graduate who also completed his Biology major at Spring Hill College in Mobile, Alabama. Waldo is currently serving with the Jesuit Volunteers Corp in Brooklyn, New York. Waldo was in Miami visiting with David, a friend and fellow JVC volunteer.
