ACU’s Heroes & Martyrs of Christ
Efraín Zabala will present a reflection on the lives and sacrifices of more than one hundred agrupados who courageously gave themselves in service to God, their country, and the ideals they held dear. Drawing from ACU historical records, the second edition of Agustín Villegas’ work on the subject, and his own reflections in light of Catholic teaching and current geopolitical realities, Efraín will honor the enduring legacy of these witnesses of faith. Participants are also encouraged to read the address delivered by † Fr. Francisco Barbeito, S.J., during a memorial Mass in their honor, which provides a moving tribute to their courage, conviction, and Christian witness.

Efraín Zabala compartirá una reflexión sobre la vida y el sacrificio de más de un centenar de agrupados que se entregaron generosamente al servicio de Dios, de la patria y de los ideales que abrazaron con valentía. Basándose en los archivos históricos de la ACU, en la segunda edición de la obra de Agustín Villegas sobre el tema y en sus propias reflexiones a la luz de la fe católica y de la realidad geopolítica actual, Efraín rendirá homenaje al legado de estos testigos de la fe. Se invita además a los participantes a leer el mensaje pronunciado por † Fr. Francisco Barbeito, S.J., durante una Misa celebrada en su honor, un emotivo testimonio de su valor, fidelidad y compromiso cristiano.
